Hi John,

Are you referring to www.acu-link.com or the PC connect software?  There isn't a widget at this time that you can pin to your computer screen for www.acu-link.com .  The PC Connect software doesn't require you to keep your browser open, you just can't close it completely.  However, you can shrink it to your task bar with out closing it completely.  If you have any other questions, please let us know.

Hi John,

The PC Connect software's main screen can be used as a widget that you can keep open on your PC.  It will show you your real time weather data so long as you have the display plugged into your computer.  The internet browser does not need to be left open in order to do this.

Hi Jack,

If you have the PC Connect software downloaded, then as soon as it is opened, you will see the screen that shows your real time weather data once it is properly linked with your PC.  Are you looking for specific instructions on how to set up the PC Connect software or just how to see the widget on your computer screen?

I'm not clear what software is in question.

"PC Connect" (the older software) had a window where you could see real-time data.  No browser needed.

"AcuRite Connect" (the newer software) doesn't have such a window (yet).
