The outdoor thermometer on my 5 year old Model 01036CA Weather Station is displaying -40 degrees and doesn't change.  I've tried resetting the unit.  Batteries are good.  Other functions operating properly.

Since -40 is the lower limit my guess is the thermistor in the 5in1 has failed. Wouldn't hurt to open the unit and blow out bug crud.

Mine too.. suddenly this has happened.. however, all other functions, Wind Speed, Pressure, Rain are working fine. Is there anyway just the board can be replaced?

Check here for the replacement part,

https://www.acurite.com/kbase/11197-VN1HSPCB.html

If yours is the same as the photo (below, in the link)

It is a plug in replacement, you have to be very careful in doing this, as you may damage other components.  Small wires and parts ,Be aware of short wires not to pull them loose.

Either version, I can repair your Weather station even if it is not the same as acurite says.

Contact me if you would like either version repaired
