As I sit here admiring my new Ambient Weather WS-2902A, I feel compelled to make one additional post before retiring (trashing) my just over a year old InAcurite station. In addition to the inaccurate temps and other data readings I have previously discussed, and the deplorable way Acurite has treated its customer base, it has come to my attention that my InAcurite display cannot even keep correct time! C'mon Acurite! Putting out supposed "precision" devices that can't even keep correct time seems almost impossible! Yet Acurite seems to have accomplished it! Way to go!

I've owned several AcuRite, Ambient Weather, and Davis stations. I've never seen an AcuRite with the incorrect time UNLESS the USER was at fault.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out...

I assure you that in my 73 years on earth, I have managed the complex skill of setting a clock quite well! As for the door hitting me on the way out, that probably won’t be a problem since Acurite probably can’t figure out how to make a door swing either.!

I’m right behind you Roger. I’m tired of my Acurite 5-1 system and it’s “inacurite” (as you pointed out) readings and data. I’m not going to waste time posting the issues I’ve had over the past 2 years. I do have a question I hope you may be able to answer. Does the Ambient WS-2902A come WiFi connectable right out of the box or do you have to purchase a separate device (i.e. Acurite Access or previous Smart Hub) in order to share data with Wunderground or see your data remotely on mobile devices, etc.?

Yes, the display will connect to your router via WiFi. You only need a bridge if you wish to connect additional sensors. Also., there is a WS-8478 6 in 1 station that will connect to additional sensors (7 I think). My Ws-2902A is currently connected the Ambient Weather Network and Wunderground with no issues.

This is my 3rd 5 in 1 weather station. The 1st one had  bearing failure. Anemometer would not turn. The 2nd one had the old monitor, no color. The 2nd and 3rd one had the outside temp frozen at 120 degrees. Did the battery change and hard reset. Now they both read minus 40 degrees.
Tried the Acu-rite service support phone numbers before the 4th shut down. No luck there.
This 3rd unit is still in waranty. Purchased Aug 2017. Has been shipped back to ACU-RITE for exchange. Have gone with a LACROSSE Technology unit. So long acurite. At this point, I dought I will get an exchange.
