On average per month, how many MegaBytes of data is sent by SmartHub when used with 5-in-1 system

As title says: Need to know, on average, how many MegaBytes of data is sent by SmartHub per month when it is used with 5-in-1 AcuRite Weather station.

Reason: Remote access requires a Cellular USB modem Internet connection that costs per MegaByte of data upload and download.

My understanding is, regardless of whether you connect to AcuRite Weather Station with one of Android or IOS apps, the SmartHub is sending data out to Internet through local router every 10 or 15 seconds.

Related question: Is there a way to shutoff the continuous updates to where Data is only sent when Android or IOS app is used, and connecting to SmartHub to get Weather Information?

I don't believe you can set it to only update when logging in or opening an app.

Hello Asti,

Tom is correct. The smartHUB uses about 450MB/month. The smartHUB will update every 5 minutes to My AcuRite. There is no way to shut these updates off. You are able to check your dashboard on multiple devices at a time. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Thank you
