Not recording rainfall and not reading wind speed correctly

My display model number 01535S is not recording rainfall amounts. It totals it up then after the 48 hour it just disappeared and won’t add up yearly or monthly. Also it don’t seem like it’s reading the wind speed right. Trees can be breaking off and it’s only showing 15 or 20 mph. Any ideas?

Hello Steven,
Where do you have your sensor mounted? The National Weather Service recommends mounting the sensor 33 feet above ground with no obstructions within 100 feet for the most accurate wind speeds. You should receive an accurate reading for where it is mounted. We understand not all of our customers can mount this high. If you are comparing to a local news station, they typically follow the National Weather Service guidelines.

For the rain issue, we would recommend to factory reset your display. To do so, Enter display menu by pressing the gear button all the way on the left then arrow down to Factory Reset in the Menu settings. Change the next option to "YES" then the display will tell you to press the "Check mark" twice. Please let us know if this issue continues. Thank you.
