I have the same problem as Joseph. Did update and no lights other than a quick flash of blue when powering up and both sides dead thereafter. Tried all remedies posted on the forum. Please contact me for a new hub.

Are you sure the hub is dead?   had exactly the same issue and all my lights were off and I thought my hub was inop.  After letting the hub sit for a day with power disconnected it came back and booted up.  I was able, finally, to get it to connect to my router and to post data to AcuRite and WU.

Since getting it online it again it appears to be dead, neither blue light is on but the green CAT5 connection is steady and the yellow data transfer blinks steadily and data is being uploaded.

Good luck.

Hello Linwood Farmer,

We are seeing that you are transmitting online. You can toggle the blue lights on and off by pressing the register/activate button for 10 seconds. This will turn the blue lights back on. Thank you.

Linwood this may help you and JP you say your hub is working just no blue lights. You can leave it like it is but if you want the blue lights on you can normally turn them on and off by pressing and holding the activation button for 10 - 15 seconds this should turn your lights back on. Be advised you may need to re enter your WU info because turning the lights on and off messes with that info.

Thanks for the info. Since it is working now I think I'll forego the blue lights, there are enough of them around anyway.

I disconnected the hub for 15 seconds then 1-2 minutes then 5-7 minutes now I'll try a day or so. Certainly shouldn't be like this but... worth a try until I hear from acurite.

Hello JP,

What is the model number of your smartHUB? The blue  lights should function as follows: The left blue light is a network status light. It should flash for 1 second each time a reading is sent otherwise it will be steady. The right hand light should be solid steady.  The next step is to register the device on My AcuRite. Create your account on My AcuRite and then do the following steps.

1. Go to settings and click devices.

2. Enter your device ID and zip code.

3. Enter your address information where the smartHUB is located.

4. Select if you want the station pressure which is a raw pressure you can calibrate, or the adjusted pressure which is a calibrated pressure based off your altitude.

5. Click Save.

6. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and add your sensors.

**Note it make take a little bit of time before your sensor information comes up.

If this doesn't correct the problem, please power down your smartHUB and router for about 2 minutes. Unplug the Ethernet cord from the router.  After two minutes power up the router. Plug the Ethernet cord into the router, and power up the smartHUB. Give it a minute or two, and you should start transmitting online.  Please let us know if there is anything further we can assist you with. Thank you.

I'm having this same issue. I was traveling when it went offline and I came home to what appears to be a dead hub and I can confirm it is not transmitting as none of my data is publishing.

Might I piggy back on this post?

Hello Ryan,

What are the lights on the smartHUB doing? Do you have it plugged directly into the router, or are you using a port or switch? I did look and all your sensors  are currently offline. The 5n1 sensor is showing low battery signal. We would recommend changing the batteries in that sensor.  Please power down your router and smartHUB for about 2 minutes.  Remove the Ethernet cable from the router.  After the 2 minutes power up the router, and wait for it to come back online. Once the router is online go ahead and plug the Ethernet cord back in, and power up the smartHUB.  Give it a couple of minutes to see what the lights do on your smartHUB. You should start to transmit online. Thank you.

Jennifer-- the lights aren't on at all.  Do you show the hub online?  I know about the low batteries, too, but putting in new ones never seems to fix that issue.  The 5 in 1 has fresh batteries in it now and still shows low.  It has always been this way.

I have unplugged and kept the hub off overnight and plugged it back directly to my router and then gave it power but no lights ever turn on and the app and website say the hub is offline.

Hello Ryan,

What is the model number of the smartHUB? Do you have the amber light in the back on and the green light on solid in the back?   The last update was on the 24th. The smartHUB is not online right now.
