No display on new AcuRite 00526W Thermometer with new lithium (2021) batteries

Some time ago I bought a AcuRite 00526W Thermometer that I finally decided to install today.  I installed new lithium (2021) batteries in both the sensor and display units. The resulting display is essentially blank except for some faint portions of the indoor and outdoor numbers and the temperature bar.  I tried other batteries with no improvement.  I noticed that if I squeezed the unit, holding both the right and left sides of the unit at the edge of the display, the indoor and outdoor numbers, the temperature bar, and the human image become dark.  These images disappear when the side squeeze is released.  Any suggestions on how to get the unit operational?

Hello Ray,

There is a small white sticker located inside the battery compartment of the display and sensor. It starts with QC and has 4 digits after it. You will need to remove the batteries to see the number. Please provide me with the 4 digit number on this product.  Also please try to use a standard alkaline battery such as Rayovac, Energizer, Duracell or Kirkland to see if you are able to get the display to come up. Thank you.
