Smarthub not communicating. No Blue lights after pressing the "Activate Button", been waiting all day.   Why??
It seems many others have had this same problem.

Hello Donjerue,

Can you please check on your router to see if it recognizes the smartHUB. If not then there is something in the settings of the router that is blocking the smartHUB from being able to transmit online, and we would recommend contacting your router manufacturer to see if they are able to get the router to detect the smartHUB. Please try to see the smartHUB by using the steps below:

Open a web browser (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Safari, etc.).

Enter your router address in the URL bar. The default address for many routers is 192.168.1.1 --once you have entered this, press Enter on your keyboard. (If this is not your default address, consult your router's manual for the correct address.)

Most routers are different. Look for something similar to "DHCP List" or "Client List". These lists should contain the MAC addresses and assigned IP addresses to any devices connected to your router.

Locate the MAC address that matches your Bridge's MAC address exactly. This address will always start with 24:C8:6E

Next to the Bridge's MAC address, you should see the assigned IP address. Write this IP address down.

In your web browser's URL bar, now enter the IP address assigned to your Bridge, then press Enter on your keyboard. This should bring up the splash page. You should see the smartHUB mac address in here and server address. You should also see sensors that the smartHUB is able to detect. Thank you. Have a good day!

OK I found it, and it is showing connected, as well as the Sensor too. See screen shot below So why isn't the info making it to Wunderground (see next comment in this thread - I followed that info as well and reentered the Wunderground info on the My Accurite Site. That was several hours ago - still showing there as NOT CONNECTED

For what it may be worth, I just read thru your FAQ article titled My readings are not being sent to Weather Underground (smartHUB) The part in #2 about the Station ID and Station Key (Password) were interesting, and again, not made abundantly clear in your instructions above - as you can see from the above screen shot - I had the Station Key(Password) confused with the Station ID and incorrectly set up in My Acurite as a result. I have now Corrected that by deleting the old and reentering it correctly. I do see, however, when looking at the  smartHUB info on my network, that it is still showing the old incorrect info. Do I need to power down and reset the Hub to correct this?

Once you press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds. Then you have to remove your Wunderground creditials click save.

Then renter the Wunderground creditials click save. Your lights should be working and data flowing to Wunderground.

You should clarify that the WUnderground credentials you refer to are on the MY Acurite dashboard site, under  SETTINGS/SHARE WEATHER.  That is not abundantly clear from your reply above...I figured it out after bumbling about on both the site and Weather Underground
Also, what you don't seem to clarify either is that, when your NEW Smarthub stops flashing, it apparently is still connecting to the My Acurite site - I was able to Add it, and my associated sensor, to my login, with the new device ID, even though it was not showing any signs of life....go figure
So, now I did the reset, as per your instructions - lights are back on - Solid, no flashing - I will wait and see what happens now, if the info from the sensor is being transmitted, to both My Acurite and Wunderground sites, and how accurate it may be.
Crazy that I need to figure out this all myself....

Hello R. Nix,

The left blue light is a network status light. It should flash for 1 second each time a reading is sent otherwise it will be steady. The right hand light should be solid steady. If the lights are working correctly, please try the following steps:

1. Go to settings and click devices.

2. Enter your device ID and zip code.

3. Enter your address information where the smartHUB is located.

4. Select if you want the station pressure which is a raw pressure you can calibrate, or the adjusted pressure which is a calibrated pressure based off your altitude.

5. Click Save.

6. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and add your sensors.

**Note it make take a little bit of time before your sensor information comes up.

If this does not correct the problem, then please power down your bridge for about two minutes. You want to unplug the power, and Ethernet cable from your router. If you are able to please power down your router as well. After the two minutes, please power up your router. Once it is online, plug the Ethernet cord back into the router, and power up the bridge. If the lights are functioning as they should, please try the steps above. If you still are not able to get online, please let us know. Thank you. Have a good day!

Acurite,
I followed the instructions given to gain access to the Smart-hub via the router/home network. The "Splash page" was displayed showing application version, boot firmware version and other data. After seeing that the Smarthub is connected to the home network and connected to the "5 in One sensor", I checked the hub to see if any "Blue Lights" were on, NONE!!  However, I decided to logged into "MyAcurite.com" account and try to add the smart hub. To my surprise, I was able to add the hub to my account and see data from the 5 in One sensor.  Maybe the Blue lights are dead, they are just indicators. However, the hub seems to be working, will monitor.

R. Nix,
Most likely not dead, just disabled. Try press and hold of the activate button again, it should reactivate the blue LEDs. May need to re-enter MyAcuRite.com data again and any certainly any WU data afterward.your mileage may vary. ;)

Hello R.Nix,

You can toggle the blue lights on and off by pressing the register button for about 10 seconds. Your lights should then come on, and be functioning as follows:

The left blue light is a network status light. It should flash for 1 second each time a reading is sent otherwise it will be steady. The right hand light should be solid steady.

Thank you. Have a good day!
