New outdoor 5in1 sensor for model 01512 unit. Still not syncing.

After my original 7 year old 5in1 outdoor sensor began eating batteries in a matter of weeks then stopped working all together, I replaced the outdoor sensor with a new one.  I have replaced all batteries with Duracell brand batteries and both stations are set to the same channel.  Per troubleshooting instructions, I have waited up to 20min to see if the units will sync.  They are not. Please advise.

Is the display indicating that it is in "scanning" mode?  Usually this is indicated by a flashing signal strength display, possibly with bars moving up or down quickly.  I can't remember the animation exactly.

If it isn't scanning, sometimes you can force it to scan by flipping the channel selector to another channel for a bit, then back to the original setting.

Resetting the display is another option, but you'll likely lose your historical data and put the barometer back in "learning mode".

I’ve tried changing each device to “channels” to A, B, and C... still nothing. I even went as far as reseting the display sacrificing the historical data... still nothing.
