New Hub Intermittent Connectivity

Just got the new hub.  5 in 1 sensor is talking to it.  Signal strength varies from good to excellent.  Every day at least once I get a loss of signal alert.  I go to the app or my dashboard and see:

Device Name:5-in-1 Weather Station

Device Type:5-in-1 Weather Station

Signal Strength:Strong

Battery Strength:Normal

Last Update:02/05/2018 3:08 PM

Status:Offline

Why is it offline?  Signal strength is fine!  Display is receiving 5 in 1 data just fine!  I don't understand.

My config is:
- 5 in 1 sensor
- Color Display with PC Connect for 5-in-1 Weather Sensors
- Acurite Access

Hello Ed,

I was able to view your account for yesterday and see a big outage from 7:52am to 3:04pm. Did you have a power outage or internet outage at this time? Do you have the battery back up in the AcuRite Access. What is the name brand of the batteries you are using? What is the internet service provider that you have? What type of internet is it? What is the model number of the hardware you are using (router model number or switch)? Does this happen at a specific time each day or is it just random? Have you tried to power cycle both the router and Access?Power down the router and AcuRite Access for at least 2 minutes. Disconnect the Ethernet cable from the Access. Remove the batteries from the Access. After the 2 minutes power up the router. Wait for it to come back online. Put the batteries in the AcuRite Access and plug in the Ethernet cable. Power up the Access. Give it a couple of minutes. Let us know if you continue to experience this issue.

Hi Jennifer thanks for replying.  No power outage.  No internet outage.  Batteries are duracell.  Internet provider is Spectrum.  Router is Linksys 1200AC.  Outages are random as far as I can tell.

No I have not powered down, disconnected, reconnected, etc.I generally hate that answer.

Hello Ed,
Where do you have the Access placed? If it is close to any major electronics, the router included, please pull the Access away from the router as much as the Ethernet cable will allow you.  Did you happen to see what the light on the Access was doing when the unit was offline? I do not see a disconnection since this has happened. Please keep an eye on this and let us know if it happens again.

It's approx 3 feet from the router.  I can try an move it further away.  For reference the old hub was in exactly the same spot and never had these problems.

Hello Ed,
We recommend the Access be at least 3 feet from any major electronics. Besides the router is it near any other electronics? I am not seeing any gaps in data since the 5th. Have you moved the unit? Thank you.
