New High Resolution Weather Station Display 06058 will not maintain connection with the 5 in 1 Pro 06014. Resetting will get a connection, but it fails to stay connected. Acurite Access is working fine on MyAcurite.

Hello Austin,
I understand you have gone through troubleshooting with your unit however, we need to verify all steps have been exhausted.  The following steps should help to resolve any issues that you have been experiencing with your unit.

Before proceeding with the reset, please check your batteries. We recommend that the batteries meet the following criteria:

• Verify you are using standard alkaline batteries such as Rayovac, Duracell or Energizer. Lithium batteries can be used in the outdoor sensor if you are in a location that will frequently see temperatures below -4oF/-20oC. (Rechargeable batteries, as well as batteries that indicate a heavy-duty quality are not recommended, and may cause irregularities.)
• Verify that you are using a fresh set of batteries. The battery expiration date should be at least 6 years out. Batteries can lose 3% of their power or more every year in storage.

1. Bring both the sensor and display unit indoors and position them side by side.

2. Remove the batteries from the sensor.

3. Go into the display menu by pressing the gear button on the front of the display.  Using the up or down arrow navigate to "sensor".

4. Press the check mark button when sensor is highlighted in the menu.

5. Navigate to "Remove a Sensor".  Press the check mark button again and it will show you the 5-in-1 sensor and/or lightning detector that is connected to that display.

6. Press the check mark button to remove.  It will give you a prompt asking if you want to remove this monitor.  Press the up or down arrow to select YES.

7.  Press the check mark button twice to confirm removing the sensor from the display.

8.  The display will revert back to the previous screen.  Press the gear button again to go back to the main menu.

9.  Use the up or down arrow to highlight "factory reset".  Press the check mark button to select this option. You will receive a prompt asking if you want to reset to factory settings.

10.  Using the up or down arrow select YES.

11. Press the check mark button twice to complete the factory reset.  The display will reset itself and go to the main AcuRite logo screen.

12. You will now be able to setup the display up by following the on screen prompts.

13.  Once that is completed, put the batteries back into the sensor.

14.  Go to the main menu by pressing the gear button.

15.  Using the up or down arrow navigate to "sensor" and press the check mark button to go into this screen.

16. Navigate to "Add a Sensor" and press the check mark button to acknowledge.

17. The display will look for your sensor and show a picture of it when it is found asking if you would like to add it.  Press the check mark button to add the sensor.  The screen will immediately revert to the previous menu screen.

18. Press the gear button twice to the main screen.

19. Let both sensor and display sit side by side to establish connection.

20. After a connection has been established, the sensor can be placed outdoors.
