New Access seems less sensitive in detecting sensors and is unreliable with Weather Underground

My new Access is in the same position as the original Smart Hub.  Startup worked well and it detected everything except one sensor.  They all worked fine with the smart hub.  I brought the sensor in the house and it works fine.  I put it back out and it is not detected.  I moved it closer, detection is intermittent.  It seems the Access is less, rather than more, sensitive.

I also am having trouble with my connection to Weather Underground which was reliable with the Smart Hub.  Now it is intermittent.  All the data is there when it connects, I just find it is missing more often than it is connected.

Both of these things were supposed to be improved by the upgrade.  Why am I finding things are less reliable?

Any help us welcome.
