New 00275LS Outdoor sensor with a water temp reader doesn't stay connected outdoors.

I installed it with a good alkaline Energizer battery and it shows good battery strength. It worked just a few days outdoors and now I can't get it to connect. I brought it inside as instructed, removed the battery and reinstalled and set it inside for some time to reestablish the connection which it did. Then I brought it back outside and installed it about 10 ft closer to the house than before. It is reading good signal strength but the last temperature recorded was the indoor temperature upon reconnection to the hub. When it stopped reading before I brought it in, it was reading weak signal strength. The former outdoor sensor worked just fine from this location but I also wanted to have data on the water temperature of the spa.

Do these newer sensors have a shorter signal distance? It is about 50' from the hub. Closer than the 5 in 1 and the sensor in the greenhouse. Could I have a defective unit?

Hello EMD,

We show that there is one liquid and soil probe on your account. We can see it is transmitting and the signal strength looks excellent. Were you able to get this corrected? Are you trying to display another liquid and soil sensor? Please let us know if there is anything we can assist you with.

Thanks, you are right! It is updating now although not as frequently as other sensors. My last reading was at 1:26 but most other sensors have a current reading at 8:55 p.m. The greenhouse has an old reading too but that one is kind of far away from the hub. The signal strength says excellent but the sensor is marked in red.
Thank you for the reply. Will have to keep an eye on this one and see if I can improve the performance.

Hello EMD,

We just checked your account again, and they all seem to be updating correctly.  The timestamps should update every 5 minutes. Thank you.
