I would like to know if you have a Weather Statio product that runs ONLY on batteries?  Would like to take a weather station camping, but we do not have access to AC.  Your product descriptions do not say which ones are battery only.

Joan most of Acurite weather stations will work on battery power alone. You need to figure out how simple or advanced a system you need or want. Most if not all of these systems need some time before giving an accurate forecast.  If you are just looking to get locale weather for your area you can with your smart phone (if signal is available) log into weather underground and find a weather station that is already set up and working that's close to where you are. Have fun and safe trip.

When camping, a NOAA weather radio is a good thing to have around. If you envision a need for short range handheld communication, GMRS/FRS/WxRadio handie-talkies are available. The GMRS part is higher power and requires an FCC license. I also carry a portable lightning detector (AcuRite 02020CA), and am very pleased with it.
