Need To Cycle USB Connector Every Time I Start The Laptop - Any Solutions??

we run Windows 10 and leave the AcuRite display unit powered up.and connected to the PC/laptop.  It works well when connected including streaming and data build.  However, the pam thing always requires me to unplug and plug back in the USB connector after the laptop has started for the data acquisition sequence to start.  After that, it progresses flawlessly.  Is there some setting somewhere that would eliminate the need to do this?

Thanks!

Do you have a spare POWERED (plug into wall) USB hub around?
Try plugging the display into the laptop through the powered hub.

I thinking that possibly at power up, the display is drawing "too much" power from the USB, causing it to shut down.
Replugging it powers it back up.

Testing with the powered hub would help prove/disprove this theory.

Hello Jon,

If you power down the laptop at night, there is no work around for this. It needs to re-establish a connection, so you would have to unplug it, and then plug it back in. Thank you. Have a good day!
