Try using the VIS Reader for AcuRite software to report your data to Weather Underground. It's a free download. I gained precipitation rate and wind gust data (and a much faster reporting frequency) when I started using that instead of My Backyard.

Dumb question: does it report rainfall? And rate is missing even on the physical display?

It hasn't rained here (southern CA) in the two weeks since I installed my unit, so it's all zeros for me.

Hi Leandro,

The Aculink servers do not transmit gust data or precipitation rate to Weather Underground.  They have never done so.  Our units do not display/calculate wind gust; Rainfall Rate is a widget available on the My Backyard Weather dashboard, which will display rainfall rate during heavy rainfall.

Thanks, but also in my Backyard weather site I can not see the precipitation rate. I want to to see a time series or graphic of precipitation rate and gust.

If you are using a computer as your bridge you will get better results using the VIS Reader software. (http://www.valleyinfosys.com/) I speak from experience. It will act as your bridge and is capable of reporting to the My Backyard Weather dashboard as well as Weather Underground and several other weather reporting sites. You just have to input your MAC address and choose which sites you want to share the data with (provided you have an account on those sites) Just be sure to first update your Microsoft dotnet to version 4.5.1 (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40779) You will then see all of the data you are missing.

There is also a user support forum on the VIS site that is very informative and helpful. The download link for the reader software can also be found there. (http://forum1.valleyinfosys.com/index.php) The AcuRite support staff would do well to read and monitor this forum also. The forum addresses firmware flaws in the 2032C model (mine) and other issues discovered by VIS and AcuRite users alike.

Hi Daniel,

We're glad to see you have had success with the VIS software; the new AcuRite Connect does allow added features such as Rapid Fire Streaming for those users on Win7, 8 and 8.1 as well.

Unfortunately, my new AcuLink Internet Bridge doesn't have anywhere near the capabilities or features that any software running on a connected PC has. My reporting frequency has slowed significantly and I can no longer see my precipitation rate or wind gust data without using my computer as the bridge.
