My Account disappeared, my new account claims that my device is owned by someone else now.

I tried logging into my account today and it says my email address is wrong. I know my email address well and have been looking at my data for some time now, but suddenly I don't exist. So I create a new account with the EXACT same email and password, but now I can't add my device because it belongs to someone else. Bleh!

Hello Rob,

We see an account under your name and email except instead of .net, it says .bet.  You also have another account under the correct email.  To correct this you will need to change the CORRECT email to an incorrect, such as @delete.com after, correct the INCORRECT email.  If you have any questions please let us know. Thank you and have a great day!

I am having the same problem.  I can sign in but it says I need to setup my device, but when I do it says I can't add my device because it belongs to someone else.  Have tried many different variations of my email address to no avail.   Help!!!!

The device issue is the ID of the device.  That is the MAC (on a sticker on the bottom) for the Access or Smarthub. If you managed to get a 'return', someone may have registered that unit  as Customer service will need to override that (they will need that ID. Also,  not a good idea to post that on an open forum )

Thanks.  Guess I'll have to call them when they come back to work.

I'm having the same problem. No device on my dashboard since I got a new phone and any attempt to add a device says the device ID belongs to someone else. No luck getting through to acurite by phone as it cost too much to hang on the line indefinitely fromBarbados

You don't ADD a new ACCOUNT for your New phone or PC.
You simply log on to your old account (enter username and password that you used before)
I have 5 devices that can chow my Dashboard and make changes.
Hopefully, you wrote your initial MyAcurite signup info down  TIP I keep a folder for each brand (I said Brand, since you may have multiple devices 'registered' to you username) registrations and manuals
