Monitoring rainfall from 2000 miles away?

Hi folks, I am a total newbie to weather stations.  I own a house in the Caribbean and live in Texas. What I am hoping to do is install a rain gauge on the island property so I can determine the exact rainfall - this will help in refining the irrigation system (water there is extremely expensive as it is de-salinated seawater). So...the question is can I have a rain gauge that can be monitored from 2000 miles away? Failing that, is there a gauge that can store the historical data for months? - as I only visit a couple of times a year. Thanks in advance.

Hello jpamesdean,

You would need either a PC Connect 5in1 or a smartHUB bundle. The smartHUB will connect directly into a router sending the data through the router. A PC Connect display will connect directly into your computer via USB and send the data through the computer. The computer needs to be up and running at all times if you want to see the data online. I have added a few links below that will bring you to the different units we offer. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you.

Sounds like the Smart HUB will be best for me since I won't be at the property too often in order to make sure a PC is always up and running. Thanks for your help.
