I have ACURITE Model 2001A1 but the day is incorrectly shown.  It is always 1 day late updating.  Can this be fixed? I even tried changing the year up and down a year but it still shows wrong date for today.

Hello Tracy,

To correct this issue the Atomic signal will have to be turned off. The unit is picking up the signal and automatically adjusting the date and time incorrectly.  Please follow the steps below. Thank you.

1. Press and Hold the Up and Down buttons (located on the back of the display) for at least 10 seconds. Watch the antenna icon in the bottom right corner of the display. When the icon disappears, release the buttons. Atomic Signal Reception is now disabled.
2. To reactivate the receiver, simply press and hold the UP/Down buttons for at least 10 seconds until the antenna icon reappears in the lower right corner.

If this works, it was an easy fix.

You should NOT have to disable the Atomic Signal Reception feature of this instrument.  It is one of it's main features.  Very disappointing product.

I tried this procedure twice on my two identical unit but all failed.  There must be another solution.  BAD product!

I disabled the atomic clock, reset the date, and left the clock off.  The date is now shown correctly.  What functionality am I losing by leaving the atomic clock off?  As far as I know, the only thing the clock does is keep the time synchronized.  I don't think the time will drift enough for this to be an issue.  I would rather have a correct date.

Of course, this doesn't mean that the product is not flawed.
