Model 02044W1 outside temperature WAY off. ..brand new batteries and I already tried removing them letting both units statically discharge and powered up the outside sensor first...sensor has been 2' away indoors and is nearly 30 degrees lower than the inside temperature
Make sure you are using a standard alkaline battery such as Rayovac, Energizer, Duracell or Kirkland. Remove the batteries from both the display and sensor for at least 2 minutes. After the 2 minutes put the batteries back in the outdoor sensor looking for the red light to flash. Once it flashes put the batteries back in the display. Once you have the batteries in both please let the sensor and display sit together for 30 minutes without touching them. Compare the readings after the 30 minutes, and they should be within 4 degrees of each other. If this doesn't correct the issue, please let us know. Thank you.
