Model 02008 Outdoor Temperature Not Accurate

My model 02008 is less than 3 years old and no longer displays an accurate outdoor temperature - during the day, it is about 10-12 degrees too high.  In December 2017, I called support and "reset" the unit and the sensor and then finally out of desperation, ordered a new sensor, which is now less than a month old, and it still does not display an accurate outdoor temperature.  I'm convinced it's not the sensor, but instead the display unit has failed.  Having a weather station is convenient, but not when it doesn't work.  Not sure I would purchase another AcuRite product.

Hello Lundijel,

If it is the outdoor information that is not displaying correctly it is coming from the sensor. Where is the sensor located? How far off the ground is it? What is it mounted to or on? Is it located near any doors or windows, or vents? Is it located in the sun? Please reply with a picture of where the sensor is located. What is the name brand of the batteries you are using in the sensor? If you bring the sensor inside and sit it next to the display for 30 minutes without touching it what does it read? It should be within 4 degrees of the display.  Please try the suggested steps, and provide us with the requested information so we can further assist you.
