model 01531Dl. In Sept 2017 I purchased an AcuRite Professional Weather Center. Immediately I noticed higher high temps (out doors) on sunny, calm days than those detected on other AcuRite and non AcuRite termometers with sending units mounted in the shade and media units. No that it is summer these differances are as much as 10-12 degres on sunny, calm days and as little as 1-2 degrees on cloudy days. Also, sunny, windy days, differances of 5-8 degrees. Low temps are within 0-2 degrees. Could the solar powered internal aspirating fan not be working? Should you be able to hear the fan running? I can not!

Rosalie yes you should be able to hear the fan running if you can get close enough to it and there is not much noise, the fans are not loud. Your fan could have stopped running for several reasons first it could have just failed, or something could be stopping it from turning (bugs, dirt) it does not take much to stop the fan the motor is not that strong. So if you cannot hear the fan running the first thing to do would be to take it down and take it apart, its not hard to do, here is a link to some directions
https://www.acurite.com/learn/installation/5in1#maintenance you can also find videos on you tube showing how to do this. When you have it apart the fan should turn freely and if you point the solar panel to the sun it should start by itself. If not here is a link to replacement fans the pro or the standard either one will fit any 5 in 1.
