Model 01121M has wrong outdoor reading

Purchased from Amazon 12/10/17. After 1 month noticed unusually high outdoor reading in mornings. (+30 degrease from expected) Normal readings in the evening. Last week I started troubleshooting. Brought outdoor sensor indoor next to receiver. Changed batteries with new Energizer Alkaline and checked for corrosion. Outdoor readings were consistently 10 degrees higher than indoor and even higher during mornings. I tried different frequency settings. Originally set to A. I could not even get communication with setting B or C doing complete reset in between each setting. Oddly the receiver will show communication with setting on A even when the transmitter has no batteries installed. I guess something is broken.

Its possible that its picking up a sensor reading from a neighbor.  Does the red light on the sensor flash every 15 / 30 seconds? it should.  Set the sensor to B or C and then set the display to the same do this with the sensor close to the display if it connects then put the sensor where you want it.

Hello Ledrak. No blinking of LED. Brand new batteries. 2027 expiration date. 1.53 voltage readings. What next?

If the red led does not flash about every 15seconds then it sounds like you have a bad sensor.
