Model 01098CDI - Requires constant resetting

Failure of sensor or communication circuitry causing displayed temp and humidity to flash, requiring constant reset following any profound changes in humidity or temperature (which is everywhere now).  Unacceptable performance of this company product.  New batteries in transmitter and receiver modules.  Connections, switches and circuits clean, and intact.  No exposure to transmitter to rain or other direct weather conditions.  As a Consumer Advocate who posts global products for consumer information, this product fails performance standards.  Do not recommend purchase of these products.

Hello Geoffrey,

We are sorry to hear of the issues you are experiencing with this weather station.  Please try the troubleshooting steps listed below.  Let us know if the issue continues.  Thank you and have a great day!

Verify you are using fresh alkaline batteries or lithium batteries (when temperature is below -4oF/-20oC) in sensor.

Quality brand batteries are recommended, including Duracell, Rayovac, Energizer, or Kirkland.

Verify batteries are fresh. The battery expiration date should be at least 6 years out. Batteries can lose 3% power or more every year in storage.

Heavy duty, extra strength or generic / store brand batteries are not recommended for use with AcuRite products because they may cause performance irregularities due to the way these types of batteries disperse power. Each battery should not exceed 1.6 volts.

Rechargeable batteries are not recommended for use with AcuRite products because they may cause performance irregularities due to the voltage instability of these types of batteries.

Mixing different battery types (brands, old/new, etc.) is not recommended.

Hard Reset

-Remove batteries from both units
-Change the ABC switch
-Place batteries in the sensor first, wait unit the sensor flashes
-Place batteries in the display, let the two units sit side by side until you read outdoor information
-Wait unit the units connect before placing them outside
