just got model 00522SBDIA2 and yesterday we had a temp of 80 and then it dipped to 55 over night.  the outdoor temp on my thermometer read 71 (when it was 80) and 69 (when it was 55).  Basically we had a 15 degree change between a very hot day, and a cool overnight, and this only adjusted 2 degrees.  I have it placed in a shady area, both pieces not near electronics, and they aren't too close to each other.  Also not blocked by a thick wall (blocked by a window actually)...

That's funny...I'm looking right at the booklet that I got out of the packaging.  It says AcuRite Wireless Thermometer model 00522SBDIA2 on the front.  It has a base model that displays outdoor temp and indoor temp and a sensor that you mount outdoors. and says for customer support to call 877-221-1252 or visit www.AcuRite.com  Maybe the "I" is actually a "1"?  I bought it at Lowe's in my hometown this past weekend.

I took a pic of the manual but it's too big so it won't let me upload it

What kind of battery did you use? Alkaline? Heavy Duty? Is there an A,B,C switch, if so have you tried adjusting the ABC switch?

Hello Dana,

Where is the sensor located. Make sure yo have it away from any doors or windows, or any heat sources or vents. We recommend a well covered tree branch at least 4 feet off the ground with plenty of fresh air to circulate around the sensor. What are you comparing the readings to? When comparing temperature, humidity or other environmental readings against other sources to determine accuracy, the comparative source MUST be in the exact same location where the original measurement is taken. Information on the television, radio, computer, or mobile app is NOT a valid source for comparison, because environmental factors fluctuate a great deal between different locations. Data from these sources may be for locations that are several miles away from where you're taking a reading.

When testing a product against another product for accuracy, be sure to allow products to sit undisturbed (without handling) side by side for a minimum of 30 minutes to allow the products to acclimate to the environmental conditions. 1-8 hours is ideal for humidity testing. Also be sure to take into account the accuracy standard/tolerance for different products.
