Lost signal with access and outdoor temp sensor/probe

I have the access along with 2 outdoor temp/humidity sensors with probes to monitor my outdoor swim spa.  Both sensors are located just under the flap of the spa cover such that the bottom third is exposed, so they do not get direct precipitation on them.

I have had very inconsistent performance with both sensors for the last couple of months.  In the last couple of weeks (since the warmup) one of the sensors seems to have improved, but the other sensor still loses connectivity for hours on end.  Yesterday I went into myacurite to look at it and is showed signal strength "Excellent" but showed red "offline".  After a few minutes it turned green and came back online but it has since dropped off (this AM).

I did the reset thing several times.
I have good matching batteries.

Do I have a defective unit?

Hello Scott,
What brand of battery are you using in the sensor? Do you use a display to monitor these sensors? Thank you.

Hi Rachell:

Duracells

I do not have a compatible display so I check through the MyAcuRite Dashboard as well as the iPhone app.

Thanks

Hello Scott,

Looking at your account I can see the sensor labeled 'Pool' has a very weak signal. Where do you have these two units placed? What is the building material in between the Access and the sensors? Where do you have the Access placed? Is the Access within 3 feet of any major electronics, router included? Thank you.
