After switching to the new hub a week ago, I’ve had nothing but problems with loss of signal! No problems at all with the old hub, went over 5 months with no loss of signal. With the new one I’ve had 19 alerts in less than a week! This is unacceptable to me and if it isn’t resolved soon I will be replacing it with something more reliable. The hub is in the same place as the last one and I’ve moved the sensor so it’s about 2 feet from the hub, changed the batteries twice and it still only works intermittently. It sounds like others are having the same problem. If you look at the reviews on Amazon, they are not good! Any suggestions would be appreciated. I’ve already tried to disconnect everything and start over.
Mine is driving me nuts. I’ve had the same issue with loss of signal multiple times. I have 2 displays that don’t have any connection issues. I’ve moved the Access hub several times with no luck. No issues with the old hub. Glad to know it’s not just me but I’m about ready to get rid of this new one.
18 is not bad I've gotten 40 to 50 in a few days. It's constantly going off and on line again and again. Everything is working displays, sensors, weather underground, signal strength at hub on it's browser accesses page. It's just on the My AcuRite Dashboard that it all goes horribly wrong. So you have to rely on Wundermap to get info online. But this doesn't help with inside sensor readings.
Many people are having this problem. The Access reports to Weather Underground, but not to myAcurite. They have been aware of this problem for over 4 months now and have done absolutely nothing to fix it. They are either too stupid, or too lazy (or both) to fix it. They know it doesn't work, and continue to sell it. They are discontinuing the smart hub to try to get people to buy a new unit that they know doesn't work. They disconnect their phone lines so you can't complain or get your money back. This whole thing is a scam!
I hate to see all these problems with the new hub. I,like many of you for the new Access for fear of losing my Acurite weather reporting because they originally said,in their email, they were doing away with the old one and in order to keep getting our signal sent we would have to buy the new one. Pretty much "forcing" you to get the "Access". Well I feel I pretty much don't have access anyway because mine to constantly looses signal since i replaced my old hub. Currently I have nothing, I tried resetting everything ,deleting everything and anything else I can think of. Now, I have tried to re-insert it all it say " ERROR Device must be connected and reporting data to claim it. Please make sure the device....." and that's it. Acurite- YOU NEED TO FIX THIS ONGOING PROBLEM WITH YOUR NEW ACCESS HUB!!!!!
I am having the same problem and it seems to be getting progressively more frequent. Now getting random loss of signal notifications 8 or 9 times a day on all sensors. New batteries, different placement of both sensors and Access unit, nothing seems to fix the problem!!! Getting real frustrated. Access unit is 09155M, have a 5-in-one and 4 tower sensors, all of which were working fine with the old hub, which I guess I will have to switch back to?
I am complete aggravated with mine new hub to. The signal is restored for a few minutes before it is lost almost as soon as I unplug and re-plug the ethernet cable. We had the old hub about two years with no problems. Loved it. Now the new hub is nothing but an aggravation, so completely disappointed with this "upgrade"!!
Most people on this thread are saying that even though they're getting the "loss of signal" emails and losing data on the MyAcurite website, it's still working for Weather Underground. Mine is also losing all data on Weather Underground at that time. The home displays have been showing data so I know the sensors are up, but the hub is failing. And it's not an internet thing because the hub is supposed to cache the data when the internet goes down and upload that when it has access again (also, I'm not losing internet). So this seems much more like a failing unique to the new hub.
Some support, they play the blame game, your house is to tall, the windows are in the way, the wood is too thick, maybe the rain caused the signal lose, I know, it's the moon phase or the water level is low, I got it, the weather is in the way so the sensors can't be read. Maybe the product is NO GOOD.
