If you reset your unit on July 1, then that will be the beginning of your year.

Hi Ken,

Depending on the model you are using, you may be able to do as Murray listed.  If, however, you use a model that tracks specific annual data, it will only do so by calendar year.  Please provide your model number for your display and we can determine which system you have.  Thank you!

I have the Costco model 01536 / 89000123 What do you think about tricking it on July 1 by changing the date to January 1? What else would that affect? Um, daylight savings time. Anything else? I don't think I look at the date or time. Oh, I guess nevermind....it would mess up the monthly totals when feb comes around.

Hello volvogirl,

This weather station would give you historical rain information. You would press the umbrella button and it will view the records. It provides you with the following:

CURRENT YEAR TOTAL (default)

PREVIOUS MONTHLY TOTALS WITH RAIN (up to 12 months prior)

CURRENT YEAR TOTAL

PREVIOUS YEAR TOTAL

ALL-TIME TOTAL

Changing the date would not affect the previous rain totals. It would only affect the future ones if the date is changed.

I'm not sure what you are telling me. Yes I understand that. It's just that our rain year in California (or at least Sacramento) is reported locally by the news, etc iseems to be July 1 to June 30. So this year we have had a LOT of rain. So I have to remember to add last year's Nov & Dec amounts to this year's total to get the real rain season total to match the official reports. Do other locations use calendar year rain totals?

Hello Volvogirl,

That is correct. You can view the previous month totals from November and December and add them in. The display goes by the regular calendar year.
