incorrect readings

My system is registering incorrect temperature readings on a random basis.  Apparently today we had a high of 165 degrees at 10:30 a.m.  My sensor is a 5 in 1 station that is about 10 months old.  I have this problem once or twice a month.

Hello msvanhorn39,

Are you seeing these readings on the display or online?  What is the model number of your weather station? Thank you.

I am seeing these reading on line and on our weather underground page.  I have never seen the reading on the display, but they seem to be a single instance in time.  The display is model 01036D1.  I don't have a model number for the outdoor station and it's above my roof, so a bit difficult to get to.

This is exactly what happens to my system, it is the same as this one.  The readings occur online and not on the display.  What needs to be done to correct the issue, the unit is 5 months old, it was activated at Christmas 2016.
Thank you

This began happening with the my Model: 01512M. Temperature gets stuck at some point during the day then at night its still showing that same temp at night when its clearly not that temp. Same thing happens with the wind reading. Any suggestions for a fix?

Hello WilliamB,

We are sorry to hear your unit is not functioning as designed. Please verify you are using a high quality standard alkaline battery and try the troubleshooting directions listed below. If this does not correct the issue, this unit has a one year warranty. Please contact the AcuRite Loyalty Team at 262-249-3259. Thank you.
Hard reset:
- Bring both units side by side and remove all batteries, unplug display if it has an ac adapter
- Change the ABC Switch to a different setting and ensure that both are on the same setting. example - If on A, move both to C
- Place batteries into the outdoor sensor first
- Place batteries into display
- Allow units to sit side by side until they connect. Thank you.
