Waiting for a response.   Beginning to believe this unit is a P.O.S. and I wasted good money by purchasing it.  Besides, lack of customer response  for AccuRite does not make me one bithappy I bought the damn thing!

Be sure to hang the outdoor sensor unit away from sunlight or other temperature extremes, preferably on the South side of your house. See if that helps.

I've moved the sensor 5 times, placing it with 60ft   with no obstructions, south east west and north.  Always insuring it's not in the sunlight.  There has been no change!  It still fails  to  display current temperature  outside.  I have tried everything listed to fix the issue and nothing has worked, As the temp drops to o° or lower it stops showing any temperature except 0°

What takes you people so long to address  my problem?  It appears your as dependable as your schlock products appear to be! If you're not going to resolve my problem just tell me so  I can throw it away and find  something dependable and accurate

It shows temp when it's above 0  once temp goes below 0  is only shows 0° until  temp outside gets above 0  The unit is less then 21 days old  BUT  I threw away the original packaging and also receipt

Hello Darrel,
We are very sorry for any inconvenience experienced. If your display is not registering below 0° please verify you are using the battery recommendations and try the following troubleshooting steps. If this does not correct the issue, we are happy to move towards the one year warranty.  Thank you.

Batteries:

•Verify you are using fresh alkaline batteries or lithium batteries (when temperature is below -4°F/-20°C) in sensor.

•Quality brand batteries are recommended, including Duracell, Rayovac, Energizer, or Kirkland.

•Verify batteries are fresh. The battery expiration date should be at least 6 years out. Batteries can lose 3% power or more every year in storage.

•Heavy duty, extra strength or generic / store brand batteries are not recommended for use with AcuRite products because they may cause performance irregularities due to the way these types of batteries disperse power. Each battery should not exceed 1.6 volts.

•Rechargeable batteries are not recommended for use with AcuRite products because they may cause performance irregularities due to the voltage instability of these types of batteries.

•Mixing different battery types (brands, old/new, etc.) is not recommended.

Hard reset:

- Bring both units side by side and remove all batteries, unplug display if it has an ac adapter

- Change the ABC Switch to a different setting and ensure that both are on the same setting. example - If on A, move both to C

- Place batteries into the outdoor sensor first

- Place batteries into display

- Allow units to sit side by side until they connect.

I have tried all of your listed "fixes"   Brand new Duracell  Batteries in both units  twice!  Changing ABC,   twice.  Did a hard reset, twice.  Moved outside transmitting unit  6 times to different spots.  Nothing I have done has made any improvement

I would love to return this broken unit and exchange for one that works   Unfortunately I did not keep the original packaging and threw away the sale receipt.  I bought the unit at local WalMart less than a month ago
