Inaccurate barometric pressure or pressure correction

The station pressure being reported from my Acurite 5 in 1 sensor to the MyAcurite website is 0.3" low, but the elevation correction at 420 feet is 0.45" which overcorrects the pressure. I can manually adjust the pressure by 0.3", which gives the right pressure on the website, but the station does not send the correction to Weather Underground, so I have a choice of Weather Underground reading being either 0.15" too high or 0.3" too low. Is there a way to fix this?

Hello Jeff,

At this time any calibrations that are made on My AcuRite do not transmit to Weather Underground. The reason for this is because the smartHUB transmits the information straight to Weather Underground. There is also a transmission that is sent to My AcuRite as well. We would be happy to take this into consideration for future product development. Thank you. Have a good day!

Hi Jennifer,
I've got a similar problem, weather Underground site reporting higher press than my dashboard, but my 5 in 1 station is adjusted to the real pressure which is match on my dashboard. It looks like the 5in1 station is reporting the uncorrected pressure to weather underground can it be made to report the corrected pressure.

The pressure off-sets (adjustment) you might add in myAcuRite do not get sent to Weather Underground at this time.  If you report "station pressure" to WU, they will probably attempt to add some sort of correction factor to what is sent to them.  This can be good or bad, I suppose, depending on how you look at it.

Hello Gazfromoz,

We can see there are calibrations on My AcuRite. The information from the sensor goes from the smartHUB straight to Weather Underground. Therefore any calibrations that are made on My AcuRite do not transfer to Weather Underground. This could be why you are seeing the different readings. Thank you. Have a good day!

I would like to correct the barometric pressure displayed in Acurite.com from my smartHUB.

When I set it to station pressure and apply a correction, it works as I expect, however, the correction can be only accurate to 0.1 inHg (over 3 milibars) which is inadequate.  Why I can't apply a correction to the full display accuracy? What is the problem with corrections to 1 mbar or 0.01 inHg?

In contrast, I can apply a correction in the PC Connect software so that the readings from my indoor display are identical with the local sea level pressures for aircraft.

Hello David,

At this time you can only calibrate the barometric pressure to the tenths.  However, we do appreciate your feedback and will certainly keep this in mind for possible future products.  Thank you and have a great day!
