Identifying sensors when adding to My AcuRite

We were talking on the Facebook site about the difficulty in adding sensors when you are dealing with multiple hub devices, either the Access or SmartHUB.  The problem is that the sensor as shown on the MyAcurite.com site shows no identifying information other than the style of sensor.  This is especially confusing when you have multiple devices that are the same.  For example my Access shows 3, 5-in-1 sensors even though I only own one.  (The other two belong to two different neighbors).  I know if I look at the splash screen for each hub, I do see a unique device ID.  For example mine is 789.  Each of the neighbors 5-in-1 have unique ID's.  So my thought is that if the screen showing available sensors that the device hub is seeing could also show that device ID, we'd have an easier time configuring which sensor we want to associate with a specific hub.  It's not perfect since you still have to know your device ID's to be absolutely sure, but it would be better than the trial and error way we have to do it today.  This is especially relevant since the new Access hub can only support 7 sensors down from 10 that the SmartHUB did.  Some of us who have gotten a new Access are not going to be retiring our SmartHUBs so the effort of moving some but not all of our sensors would be much easier to do.  Another thought might be displaying the mac id or unique digits of the mac id on the page that shows available sensors.

Hello Jack,

Thank you for your feedback. The splash page is a tool meant for internal use in troubleshooting. It is not meant to be an identifying factor for your sensors. We will let our development team know about your suggestion. Please let us know if there is anything we can assist you with.

Understand, so you may consider using the unique portion of the mac id as the identifier on the myacurite.com device page when it show available sensors.  Thanks for forwarding this to the development team.
