Hi John - my honest suggestion is to switch back to pc connect UFN. I switched from SmartHub 13 days ago and have not been getting any of my data to WU since.  Last night, I spent 2 hours on it again, going through the instructions as directed, nothing.  I even rebooted the router, rebooted Access by removing all power (including batteries) to it, resetting it, nothing.

I posted this same question almost 12 days ago on this forum and have had no response from AcuRite.  They are overwhelmed.  You can't call tech support unless you want to wait for hours.  There are stories on the forums about that.  Every time I have called I am always over 20+ in line.  I don't have that kind of time.

I'll be following this.  Hope they can resolve it.

Hello Dan,
I didn't have to delete my "old" account to get this to work.
I did however need to "share" the new device.
I following the directions closely n the quick setup guide.

I never used the "Replace" method on either of the devices, which is in the Devices section of myAcuRite app, because I never saw it besides, I had the devices installed and reporting to myAcuRite but not to weather underground until I recalled that I needed to "share" them.

I have two of the new ACCESS devices and they work for me flawlessly.
Where I got messed up with my remote device was when I tried to mess with the DHCP to make it static instead of letting it run as it was setup when it initially installed.

I've had them both running for months now.
I wouldn't have bought a second device if the first one didn't function.

Thank you,
Mike

Disclaimer: I do not receive any compensation from AcuRite in any form or anyway.
If it were junk then I wouldn't have it and I'd share my findings so other folks wouldn't repeat my same mistakes BUT not before I worked with them directly to resolve any issues amicably.

Ken, make sure to share your device is shared.
From my this link: https://www.myacurite.com/#/devices
You can go down and see if you are sharing.
If not then go to this link and share: https://www.myacurite.com/#/share-weather

I hope this helps!

My device is shared.  It is all hooked up and set up like it should be.  But no data to WU.  I even briefly hooked the SmartHub back up to it and it transmitted an ob over.  It is Access as far as I can tell.

Any other ideas?

Hello Ken,

We apologize for the delay in response. Please remove your station ID and password from My AcuRite for Weather Underground Sharing.  Add it back making sure to type it in and not copy and pasting it. If the station ID and password do not correct it, try using the station ID and passkey instead. Please let us know if the issue persists.

Hey Ken,
This fact just occurred to me, I've never used the "replace" option with my two Access devices.

Recently, I bought another Access for my home in Meridian where I live with my family which arrived yesterday.

Here are the exact steps I performed to get it online:
1) Unplugged the network cable from the old SmartHub and pulled power plug from the receptacle.
2) Took a picture of the mac address on the bottom of my new Access.
3) Plugged in the network cord from the old SmartHub into the new Access.
Yes, I reused the known good cable that was used with the old SmartHub.
4) Inserted 3 new Alkaline batteries.
5) Plugged in the new power cord, saw a solid blue light and left the house.

When I got to my destination:
6) Logged into myAccuRite with Android app and added the new Access as a new device.
7) Deleted the old device from my profile.

When I got back home:
8) I shared the new Access to WU because I wasn't able to easily use the Android app to do share the new Access.

I wonder, did you use the "replace" option in myAcuRite?

I know when we do hardware replacements here at work then we have to reestablish many of our processes (that don't do it automatically) to make things work again.

If nothing else works then try reusing the cable from your old SmartHub.

I'm only trying to help you here and I do not want to frustrate anyone BUT I've had no issues with two new Access devices so far doing it this way. Because I didn't realize it until now, that there was a replace method.

If nothing else works then we'll want to try to see if we can view the built in web page that Access has. To do that you'll need to be able to find the LAN IP Address for your Access device from your modem. (If you don't know how to do that then we'll cross that bridge when we get there, if necessary)

Good luck!

Have a great day,
Mike

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the help!  I worked on it again and finally waited the wait for support at AcuRite.  I logged into the router and went to the IP address of Access and it looked good.  Everything matched up.  I was in the process of working with them and just when they are about to address the problem, my sensor's batteries died (this morning at 2 am).  So, I need to go up on my 2nd story roof to get that switched.

I'll let you know what happens.  Thanks for your interest in helping, I (and others I'm sure) appreciate it.

Take care,
Ken

I got one of these for my deal.

Cool thing is, that you switch out the banks as it lists and you don't lose connectivity AND even cooler yet, no climbing around on the 2nd story roof!

Good luck Sir!

I think you need to remind everyone or tell them that they have to delete their old PC connect account. Until that is done weather underground will not recognize the new access. After the PC connect account is deleted you can set up weather underground share.
