I just ordered my 5 in 1 weather station model 06016m and one of the displays is reporting 158 degrees for indoor temp

I have gone through several hard resets and even attempted to run through the calibration process to set it to correct inside temperature. But now the temperature never changes. It appears the sensor inside the display for reading indoor temp is defective. The 5in1 came with 2 displays and the second display is reading indoor temperature just fine. I tried to find a place on the website to email for tech support, but this forum was the closest thing I could find short of calling the direct phone number. Hopefully an acurite employee will see this and respond. Just from a quick google, it looks like this is a common problem, I have only had the unit for 3 days and now have a defective indoor display

Hello Kelvin,
We apologize for the delay in response.  The following instructions should help resolve any issues you are having with your display.

To do a pinhole reset: (THIS WILL CLEAR ALL OF YOUR HISTORY AND YOUR SETTINGS)

Please verify that you are using a name brand (Rayovac or Energizer) standard alkaline batteries in the display unit. We do not recommend using anything that is heavy duty, rechargeable, store brand or Lithium inside of the display.

- Remove all power, AC adapter and batteries from the display unit.
- Press and hold down the pin hole reset button, located in the battery compartment, for 20 seconds.
- Plug back into AC power and insert recommended batteries.
- Press and hold down the pin hole reset button for an additional 20 seconds.
- Verify that the unit has powered on and once connection has been made, attempt to set time and date.

Thank you for the procedure for how to reset the display, I was not optimistic at first but after going through this step by step it worked. Now the display that was reading the 158 degree temperature is now reading the same indoor temperature as the second display. Again, thanks for tbe detailed procedure, it worked like a champ.

I would just add one correction to the above procedure, my display did not have a pin hole reset button, it is actually a surface mount reset button on the inside of the battery compartment which is easily actuated by hand and doesn’t require a small pin to access, again I really appreciate the feedback and I am enjoying my new weather station. Great product!!!!!
