I have a defective dsiplay unit 06016

I just received a brand new AcuRite 5 in 1 Weather Sensor (model 06016) and the tenths and hundredths places in the rainfall segment of the display are not displaying correctly. it is either twitchy or not there. I've tried a hard reset, have the unit plugged in, and am using Rayovac batteries as backup. This item was purchased new (not from Craig's List or Ebay).

Hello Pat,

We would recommend preforming a factory reset on the display. To do so, please press and hold the reset button for 10-12 seconds or until the display completely clears.  If this does not correct the issue, please let us know.  Thank you.

Unfortunately, the factory reset did not fix the issue. Everything else seems to be working great. But, I feel like since the unit is brand new, everything should be working properly.

Hello Pat,

Where was the product purchased at?  There is a small white sticker inside the battery compartment of the display. It starts with QC. You may need to remove the batteries to see the sticker. It can be on the side or top of the battery compartment, or even on the compartment cover. We may need to initiate a warranty claim and have you send the product in for testing. Thank you.

I do not see a QC sticker inside the battery compartment or on the battery cover. We purchased the item at an online store called Woot.Com. They will take the item back if it is damaged. It's strange... when I hold the display screen up and gently squeeze the right side of the plastic (next to the actual screen but not on the screen) I can see the digits display. When I release the pressure, the numbers disappear or flicker, then disappear.
