I am getting the error message "This device is already in use."

I purchased an Acurite Access from amazon.com and tried to register it today. I am getting the error message "This device is already in use. Do you want to re-enter your Device ID or cancel your progress and Follow This Device?".

How do I fix this? This was a new device from amazon.com so there is no one to contact about un-registering this device.

I suspect you have gotten a 'returned' item that someone registered, then gave up and sent it back.(If the Item was sold as New, complain to Amazon.)You need to contact Customer support to get the MAC  transferred to your account.

You might want to also check to make sure you've read the MAC correctly.  It's easy to confuse some of the characters, like "8" and "B".
