Hub suddenly missing wind maximums

Did something change with the SmartHUB that affects wind readings? Suddenly in the last week, it's missing the maximums, as shown on the display, by alot more than it used to, both in MyAcurite and WU. I normally see a 2-3 mph discrepancy some days, but this week it's been 4-18 almost every day. I understand the difference in reporting, but this is new. Wondered if it got connected to a different sensor, but the rest of the readings match, it hasn't been down or disconnected, and shows no sign of changing sensors in MyAcurite.

Still disapointed that I have to make sure to check my display every night right before midnight to get accurate readings for the day - so annoying, especially after buying the hub thinking I wouldn't have to keep doing this. Also still wondering, if the design is such that it only takes readings every 5 minutes, and misses so many key readings, why bother? Who thought that was a good idea for a weather station? Just curious.

Nothing has changed with the SmartHUB (it's still the same firmware level).  However, it is possible something different is happening in the back-end.

There are changes afoot between the SmartHUB and Access, but it's also difficult to tell if those changes have been actually been implemented or not.  For example, looking at the data stream it can be seen the Access is sending an "average wind" parameter that the SmartHUB does not.  It's a bit harder to tell if the myAcurite servers are using that "average wind" value yet.

Would that explain why every day since March 11, the hub is sending to WU approx HALF the max wind reading my display is catching? Never did that before, used to be off by 1-3 SOME days, now it's off by almost half EVERY day.

Ok, this is resolved. It wasn't the hub missing them. The problem was a glitch in the display, that required a reset to fix. I think it happened when I was adjusting something and it had a quick dis- and re-connect of power, even tho the batteries were in and still good. Very strange bug that all the wind readings were about twice the actual speed. But it's back to normal.
