How come you cannot complete the 3 step setup process on an android smartphone using android 6.0

During the 3 step setup process, one of the questions being asked is, what is your country. So I put in that I live in the United States. Why is it still asking me to enter a postal code when I chose that I live in the United States? The problem is what do I have to do now to get this device to allow me to continue the setup process? I tried entering my zip code, but this did not solve the issue. I left the postal code line blank, but this did not solve the issue either, so how do I complete the 3 step setup process if it keeps asking me for a postal code when I told the unit that I live in the United States? This unit will not allow me to complete the setup process. And unless you complete the setup process, the unit app will not work? I will have to uninstall this app if someone out there can't help me solve this issue?

Even with my zip code displayed, how come this app still will not allow me to complete the 3 step setup process. How do I complete the 3 step setup process if the app will not allow me to continue? I will have to uninstall this app, if you can't tell me how to get around this issue?

It also needs the Zip to calculate the Time offset for charting.I suspect you are trying to remain anonymous, and have conflicting or missing info on the form.
