How can I set the exact second of the change of minutes in an AcuRite 75152?

When I plug in the power cord (with no batteries, to ensure I'm not picking up a prior set point), the clock does not change the minute display exactly 60 seconds later.

What specific action resets the seconds counter? How can I set the clock to change the minute value at *exactly* the correct time (hh:mm:00)?

It is annoyingly inconsistent.

Hello Gerry,

There is no way to get it to read the exact second as the clock does not display seconds. Once you set the clock it is going to go based off the time that is set.

I know it won't display seconds.

What I'm looking for is how do I set it so that the minute display changes *exactly* sixty seconds after I push the button - the SET button, for example. When I go through the time set ritual, the minutes display sometimes changes 40 seconds after I finish, sometimes 23 seconds, etc. What sequence of events will set the clock to change precisely 60 seconds after I set it (and every sixty seconds thereafter?

Hello Gerry,
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. As you know, this clock does not display seconds so it is not possible to set the clock at the exact second.  Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you.
