Hijacked replacement hub

My Smart Hub replacement is no longer associated with my account.  It worked for a week, then around 4pm yesterday, it stopped sending to the Wunderground.  I go into my Acurite account and the hub is no longer there as a device.  I try to re-add it, The message says that it cannot add because it belongs to someone else.  So now, I'm following my own SmartHub to get readings...

I cannot believe this company has not had a class action . There is no reason for the denial of their upgrade !

They stepped up to the plate and are replacing every bricked hub mine is up and running as well as a lot of others that you don't hear about here. I am a forum addict that's why I am here. Mark me down as a re-satisfied customer.

I can't believe they bricked your bridge and won't replace it. I'd like to know about those details to that story!

Dan,
I hope to be in the same situation you are soon too.  No system is perfect when it starts off, so yes, people should expect hiccups. If AcuRite's customer service is as good as it has been, I should be up and running on Monday.

They were very nice on the phone and spent time with me making sure my original hub was bricked.  Then they sent out a replacement that worked under my account well for about a week.  Actually, it is still working, but not associated with my account.  I will call them on Monday for two reasons.  
1.  If they can reassociate my SmartHub that no longer associated with my account since Friday a
2.  When will they send me a shipping label for my old bricked hub which they said they would send.

I can go a weekend with the messages from weather underground reminding me that my station is no longer transmitting to them.  Not a big deal.

Well If you keep your PC on 24/7 like I do you can still transmit to Wunderunderground via PC-Connect. That's what I did when my Hub got bricked and awaiting a new one. I live in a close-knit community and residents here depend on my station for immediate weather conditions and radar maps. my station gets about 25 hits a day from residents.

No PC- Connect for me. I don't even know how or what I would need to connect! My display and Smart Hub don't have a connection. I can access my smart hub via IP but it only gives information. I can't change any settings.

The issue was a little more different than I had thought. My fault. I logged into the wrong account. However, the real issue is that I get a Http:// error 500 Internal Server error when I go the Share Weather menu under Settings. That error is now the one that has customer service busy. It is only my account that has that error. So I will wait for them to fix it. Nothing I can do on my side. Again, they are very courteous and nice in customer service. Other companies would do well to follow this standard.

Yes, I was able to re-establish connection yesterday through the mobile app. I logged in under the correct account and then set up the shared weather account with Weather Underground and the connection saved. It was just weird that it disconnected. I hope this helps someone who may get the http:// 500 error internal server error on the PC application.
