High humdity levels in the morning or cloudy.

As the title says, I am experiencing high humidity levels with my 5in1 station in the morning and during the entire day if it's cloudy. I am comparing with other stations in my area and my humidity may read 99% while others are in the 60-70% range. Also some days my dew point readings will be near 90F and my feel like readings near 120-140F. The problem typically fixes itself between 11-2pm with a huge drop in dew point (5-12F drop in a few minutes). This problem only occurs on days when the humidity gets close to 99%. The station is also somewhat in the shade at times due to trees near it. I have brought my weather station inside to test it and it does match up with the console.

My PWS data: http://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=KSCMOUNT26 (Problem occurs most days, just for an example it was sunny 8/21 but cloudy the entire day 8/22.)

Note: I do have the dual panel mod installed which could be causing it but that does not really make sense to me.

I checked your WU info and you're right in line with all the other stations near you.  Everybody seems to be at about 99%.

What time did you check that at? It's typically right with other stations til about 9am.

Today my temperature readings seem to be way off so I may reinstall the single solar panel.

Seems to be a issue with the fan causing the temperatures to be high. When comparing to the single solar panel it spins no where near as fast. I did not have this problem til today.

You're right...about 10 deg. higher than most others around you.  That is an almost sure-fire indication that the aspirating fan is not working.

How old is your dual panel top?  AcuRite has been replacing those for that problem.  I would contact customer service and see what can be done.

I got the dual panel top sometime in May. I just went back to the single panel but having issues with that at the moment also. I'm going to give it sometime to reset itself before I give up.

Don't give up.  Your dual panel should still be under warranty and AcuRite will send you another one with the new, improved motor.  That should fix the problem...

Hi TehMiniman,

It sounds like it could be one of a couple different things that are going on here.  How high do you have the sensor mounted off of the ground and what is it mounted over (ex: grass, concrete, compost pile, asphalt, ect...)?  I would also like to have you check the fan to see if it is running properly.   Below is a video that will show you how to open the sensor (and clean it if needed) to see if the fan is working properly in the sun. Once the sensor is taken apart, please take the top half of the sensor outside and have the sun directly hitting the solar panels. From there please look underneath and verify if the fan is spinning freely on its own. If it isn't please let me know so that we can get this resolved for you.

Ok I sure will if I continue to have the issue. I really hope it fixes it. I see that you guys see the issue i'm having. Here is a screenshot at 1pm (typically it fixes itself by now which is odd). This will also probably be my last message til I can test the new fan.

Hello,
Is there is an eta for the replacement fan? I am not in a rush to receive it but just wondering.

I installed the new fan but I was not able to test temperature readings in the sun today. I will be able to test it tomorrow though.

So I have found that bringing the weather station into my house (or anywhere with lower humidity) for a few minutes then putting it back outside temporarily fixes the problem until the humidity reaches 99% again. However, my weather station is not the most accessible and I am unable to take it down everyday so it doesn't help me out too much.
