Problem with new software

Hi everyone! I have a 02032CAUDI 5 in 1. The sensor won't come up in the new software under devices. Just says smarthub. We were with Backyard weather. Any ideas?

Hello Roy,

We can see you are offline since Jan 14th.The display needs to be connected to the computer at all times.  Make sure the settings on the PC Connect software are correct.  Please make sure you have your display in USB mode 3(depending on the model number of the display you may not have a USB mode). On the PC Connect software under status it should say the display console is detected. Below that last data received should be a current date and time stamp. Below that My AcuRite Sharing should say Data Sending. If it does not please go to Weather Sharing, and make sure you have the box checked that says share my weather data. You will enter your Device ID/ Mac address. Below that you will click share now. Under status you will then see My AcuRite Sharing: Data sending. You will then go to My AcuRite.com, and log into your account where you should see your information updating. Thank you.

Okay. Thanks so much for that. The other problem I am having is the wind is the opposite. I need it for the Southern Hemisphere. Worked okay at our holiday house but now it doesn't.

Hello Roy,

The 5-in-1 sensor can be used in the Southern Hemisphere by making a modification to the wind vane. This modification effectively reverses the wind vane on the 5-in-1 sensor so when mounting the sensor with the solar cell facing South, it will read correctly in the southern hemisphere:

1. Pull off the wind vane, located on the bottom of the sensor. This will require some force to "pop" it off.

2. Observe the hole in the wind vane (where it attaches to the metal shaft on the 5-in-1 sensor) and notice that it is not a perfectly round hole. Mark the location of the flat spot on the hole in the wind vane.

3. Drill out, or otherwise round out the flat spot in the hole so that it becomes a perfectly round hole in the wind vane. DO NOT enlarge the hole, simply round it out.

4. Line up the hole of the wind vane with the metal shaft on the 5-in-1 sensor, but use your marking on the flat spot (from step 2) to line up the wind vane facing the OPPOSITE way from how it was originally designed. Press the wind vane firmly and carefully on the metal shaft of the 5-in-1 sensor.

The 5-in-1 sensor is now ready for use in the Southern Hemisphere. Let us know if there is anything further we can assist you with.

I cannot transfer any info from my console to the pc. Comes up No weather data is available at this time. My console is full. PC Connect is on 3.

Hello Roy,

We would recommend restarting your display.

The following instructions should help resolve any issuesyou are having with your display.

To do a factory reset: (THIS WILL CLEAR ALL OF YOUR HISTORY AND YOUR SETTINGS)

Please verify that you are using a name brand (Rayovac or Energizer) standardalkaline batteries in the display unit. We do not recommend using anything thatis heavy duty, rechargeable, store brand or Lithium inside of the display.

- Remove all power, AC adapter and batteries, from the display unit.
- Press and hold down the pin hole reset button, located in the batterycompartment, for 20 seconds.
- Plug back into AC power and insert recommended batteries.
- Press and hold down the pin hole reset button for an additional 20seconds.
- Verify that the unit has powered on and once connection has been made,attempt to set time and date.

When you are complete with the reset be sure to put the USB mode back to 3. Give it a couple of hours to collect the data, and then attempt the transfer. Thank you.

Anyhow, I did all the above and it still comes up No weather data available at this time. Annoying.

Hello Roy,

The temperature and humidity sensor in this unit has gone bad however, your sensor model number is not compatible with the replacement board.  The whole outdoor sensor will need to be replaced.  We do apologize for the inconvenience, the product is outside of the one year warranty.  Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. Well where do i get one from? Where do they sell them in Australia? Could you find out please? If not, how much to ship one over and will it work with the console? Will it be worthwhile? Console is okay now. Thanks.
