My console shows data in all the information blocks.  PC Connect show no information but has a floating point overflow error.  VIS Shows indoor temp and barometer at unrealistic values.

Hi RC Ewe,

Please make sure your display is on USB mode 3 as well. If you have it on USB mode 3, please unplug the USB connection for about 2 minutes and plug it back in. The VIS reader is raw data, we usually let the customers know they don't have to pay attention to that information as it will not match their readings. When you plug in the USB, and it detects the Chaney Instrument company under devices and printers do you see a triangle with and ! point?  What version of Windows are you using on your computer? Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you. Have a great day!

I have it on an older Vista machine.  An additional USB Human Interface Device shows up in Device Manager when I plug it in but nothing says Chaney Instrument.

Hi RC Ewe,

When you plug in the USB connection there should a new connection there it may say Chaney instrument company, or unknown. You want to check to see if there is a triangle with an ! point there. Right click it, and see if it allows you to troubleshoot it. If you are not getting this then please uninstall the PC connect software and reinstall it. You may need to restart your computer as well. Please contact us back at 877-221-1252 if that does not correct the problem. Thank you. Have a great day!
