Financial Trouble ?

To discontinue supporting and making a perfectly
good smart hub- obsolete, makes you question the company's motives- “Especially the End of Service “ reasoning . Not only have they alienated its customer base, they have lost focus on the company's mission statement .

In my opinion ,  It appears as though they are in some sort of financial trouble and in need of funding . Competition is high and lets face it , once you make your initial investment, the company has no revenue stream from you.  In other words, the only way they make money , is to grow new customers , expand new products , or, sell replacement products to existing customers –

I have no doubt that it cost a lot of money to develop “Access “. Unfortunately ,  the unit is NOT selling like expected and the company is experiencing a loss of revenue. They need to recoup it somehow.

Bottom Line - , they need money or else  – Therefore a forced migration even if it  ALIENATES   its entire customer base was needed –  If that doesn’t work – BANKRUPTCY and you lose anyway !
