My display keeps not displaying temp and wind data but I know my sensor is working because I can see the data updating on app. Signal strength is fine . Wind chill keeps updating. This keeps happening and I have to keep doing a hard reset, works for a few days then stops.

Hello Brian,

We would recommend a factory reset on the display.

To do a factoryreset: (THIS WILL CLEAR ALL OF YOUR HISTORY AND YOUR SETTINGS)

Please verify that you are using a name brand (Rayovac or Energizer) standardalkaline batteries in the display unit. We do not recommend using anything thatis heavy duty, rechargeable, store brand or Lithium inside of the display.

- Remove all power, AC adapter and batteries, from the display unit.
- Press and hold down the pin hole reset button, located in the batterycompartment, for 20 seconds.
- Plug back into AC power and insert recommended batteries.
- Press and hold down the pin hole reset button for an additional 20seconds.
- Verify that the unit has powered on and once connection has been made, attempt to set time and date.

I did all of that, we will see how long it lasts since I’ve done this before. Seems to work for 5 days then does it again. One thing is it will not detect my lightning sensor now after I did factory reset. How do I fix that? Never was an issue before. And I aready removed the batteries in the lightning sensor and put them back in.

Hello Brian,
If you are not seeing the lighting detector we would recommend doing a hard reset with the display and sensor.  Please verify you are using the battery recommendations and try the troubleshooting steps listed below. Please let us know if the issue continues. Thank you. Batteries:

•Verify you are using fresh alkaline batteries or lithium batteries (when temperature is below -4°F/-20°C) in sensor.

•Quality brand batteries are recommended, including Duracell, Rayovac, Energizer, or Kirkland.

•Verify batteries are fresh. The battery expiration date should be at least 6 years out. Batteries can lose 3% power or more every year in storage.

•Heavy duty, extra strength or generic / store brand batteries are not recommended for use with AcuRite products because they may cause performance irregularities due to the way these types of batteries disperse power. Each battery should not exceed 1.6 volts.

•Rechargeable batteries are not recommended for use with AcuRite products because they may cause performance irregularities due to the voltage instability of these types of batteries.

•Mixing different battery types (brands, old/new, etc.) is not recommended.

Hard reset:

- Bring both units side by side and remove all batteries, unplug display if it has an ac adapter

- Change the ABC Switch to a different setting and ensure that both are on the same setting. example - If on A, move both to C

- Place batteries into the outdoor sensor first

- Place batteries into display

- Allow units to sit side by side until they connect.

Done all of that and yet again the display crapped out after a week yet again. The outside unit is working fins as it is pushing the data out through my bridge and posting fine through the app and through weather underground. There has to be something wrong with just the display. Now the ticker at the bottom froze and the light won’t turn on. The data is actually displaying but it’s complete dark and when I try to turn the light back on the data disappears
