I assume you are using PC-Connect.  If so make sure you have set up your Weather Underground information correctly.  Also you have the do not sleep box checked.  Finally if all of that is correct, reinput your Weather Underground information in.  Be sure to key in the Weather Underground station ID and password.  Do not copy and paste.

Verify that you are using the password (usually in lower case) that Weather Underground assigned you along with your station ID in all capital letters.   Don't use the password you used to sign up for an account with Weather Underground.  It's a common mistake that some make when filling out the password field in the AcuRite PC-Connect screen.

Rick,

I'm more a Mac person but if you put a Mac to sleep the following things happen.

  • The processor is put into a low-power state.
  • The video output is disabled. Connected displays will enter their own low-power state, if supported.
  • Apple-supplied hard drives will spin down. Third-party internal and external drives may spin down (most do).
  • Optical media drives spin down.
  • Power to the RAM memory is removed (Hibernation and Safe Sleep modes).
  • Ethernet port is disabled. This actually depends on system settings, which can allow the Ethernet port to respond to a WOL (Wake on Lan) signal.
  • AirPort functions, if any, are disabled.
  • USB ports have limited functionality (respond to keyboard).
  • Audio input and output are disabled.
  • Keyboard illumination, if present, is disabled.
  • Expansion card slot is turned off (portable Macs).
  • Modem, if present, is disabled. This depends on whether the modem is configured to wake when it detects a ring.
  • Bluetooth is disabled. This depends on the Bluetooth system preference, which can allow Bluetooth devices to wake your computer.

There is probably a similar state to many PC's also that match the Mac's characteristics in sleep mode.  If sleep is what you did, then it doesn't surprise me that you would stop reporting to the AcuRite servers that maintain the myacurite site or Weather Underground.

    Hello Rick,

We are sorry to hear of the issues you have been experiencing. Jack gives good advice.  Make sure you are not copy and pasting your station ID and Password in the PC Connect software.  Verify you do not have your Weather Underground credentials entered in My AcuRite and PC Connect, but ONLY on the PC Connect software.  Please try using your station key instead of the password or the opposite way around.  If you continue to have this issue try uninstalling PC Connect and reinstalling.  Let us know if the issue continues.  Thank you and have a great day!

Firstly, check if your WeatherUnderground profile has been confirmed  (I had problems confirming with Chrome on Ubuntu 17.04 - used Firefox instead) by following MY WEATHER STATIONS link.

Second, wait for a day or two until you have proper data.
