Different Pressure readings on two different displays from the same sensor.

On 12/7/2017 I purchased a AcuRite model 01534DI which included a 5 in 1 sensor and display screen. I installed the weather station on 12/9/2017. The display has a Quality Control number of QC916 which is located on the inside of the battery compartment door. The 5 in 1 sensor has Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA batteries installed. The display unit has Duracell AA batteries installed. On 12/27/17 I spoke with Craig concerning the performance of the barometric reading on the display unit. Please reference case # 00601873. After speaking with and following Craig's instructions I unplugged, removed the batteries and pressed the reset button. I reinstalled the batteries and plugged the display unit into the wall outlet. This is the second time I performed this reset function. The display is currently in the learning mode which I understand will last for 14 days before the learning word will disappear from the display screen. Because I was receiving no feedback from AcuRite on my request to replace this unit I purchased on line a new display unit model number 06016M. I received and set up my new 06016M display on 12/30/17. This display unit has a quality control number 3317. This unit is also in the 14 day learning mode. I have the 06016M display unit locater in my first floor den which is approximately 60 feet from the sensor. The 01534DI display is located in a second floor bedroom. The display unit is approximately 100 feet fro the sensor. The problem that I am experiencing is that the barometric pressure reading on the 01534DI display is different than the barometric reading on the 06016M display. on 12/30/17 the bedroom barometric reading was 29.67 with the den at 30.02. On 12/31 the bedroom reading was 29.85 while the den was 30.19. on 1/1 the bedroom reading was 29.92 while the den was 30.26. On 1/2 the bedroom read 29.52 while the den read 29.85. On 1/3 the bedroom read 29.35 and the den read 29.68. Please take note that I took the two readings within one minute of each other. Questions: 1)Why are there two differenct barometric readings coming from the same sensor? 2) What is the required fix to correct this problem? I think the display unit 01534DI bearing Quality Control number 916 (is a defective unit. I asked Craig the process that I would need to follow to get this display unit replaced under the AcuRite warranty. Craig said AcuRite had no inventory on this display. I asked him to exchange the 01534DI display with a 06016M display. Craig said he would have to check with a supervisor on my request and that he would get back to me. As of 7:31 PM CST on 1/3/18 I have not heard from Craig so I am reaching out via site. Thaksing you in advance for providing me with an RMA on the 01534DI display and a no charge repalcement with a 06016M display. Charlie

Charlie each display has its own barometric sensor it does not come from the 5 in 1. The learning mode lasts for I think 33 days the learning icon goes off after 14. You need to let both units run through the full learning mode before you will really see, sometimes you need to do it twice.

So as I understand your response I wii have to wait a minimum of 33 days and then check the bp readings on the 2 displays. Time will tell.

Hello Charlie,
I do apologize for any miscommunication with the AcuRite Loyalty Team.  Ledrak is correct. The displays do have a 14-33 day learning mode.  After 14 days the icon will disappear however, in the background of the display the algorithm is still learning your altitude and adjusting as needed.  The accuracy of barometric pressure is +/-.15.  If after the full 33 days you are not reading within .15 please let us know. At that point we would be able to work under your one year warranty. Thank you.
