data file empty?

I just tried to view my data charts and they showed as no data available. Then I downloaded the csv file and that was empty. But both the data chart screen and the PCConnect report that the last update was a few minutes ago. What is going on here?

Also my PCConnect reports that it is uploading to weatherunderground but no data is showing up there either????

Hello Roger,




Please verify you do not have the CSV file open when you are downloading data. The following instructions should help resolve any issues you are having with your display.

To do a pinhole reset: (THIS WILL CLEAR ALL OF YOUR HISTORY AND YOUR SETTINGS)

Please verify that you are using a name brand (Rayovac or Energizer) standard alkaline batteries in the display unit. We do not recommend using anything that is heavy duty, rechargeable, store brand or Lithium inside of the display.

- Remove all power, AC adapter and batteries from the display unit.
- Press and hold down the pin hole reset button, located in the battery compartment, for 20 seconds.
- Plug back into AC power and insert recommended batteries.
- Press and hold down the pin hole reset button for an additional 20 seconds.
- Verify that the unit has powered on and once connection has been made, attempt to set time and date.

Please verify the display is on Mode 3. Verify you downloaded the new AcuRite PC Connect software (v.2.0.3 Windows or 1.0.46 Mac) and removed the previous software you had been using. Once this is done, PC Connect needs to be connected to add the MAC address/Device ID. Under Data Transfer you should check the box if you want automatic data transfers, then chose how often you would like them to transfer. Below you should see Weather Sharing, check the box that says Share my Weather Data, a box should appear asking for your Device ID, enter the 12 digit ID and click 'Share Now'. Under status you should see the display detected, below you should see a time stamp of the current data transfer. Below you should see My AcuRite Sharing Active.
