Does anyone know if it is possible to get a new 5-in-1 sensor to connect to the 02032C display unit WITHOUT losing all of the historic records stored in the display from your previous sensor?

Try this, With the new 5-in-1 on and the old one off toggle the A-B-C selector on the display to a unused position and then back to the one that is set on the new 5-in-1.  This may trigger the display to associate with the new 5-in-1 without losing your data.

Hello Francois,
If you remove the current sensor from model 06058 HD display and add in the new sensor, the historical data will still show on your display. You want to make sure you DO NOT factory reset the display unit. If you do, all historical data will delete.  Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you.

When you speak about sensors   , you mean the 5-1 Correct? ok.....

.BUT  i will receive the new ACCESS in a couple of days......what is the Full procedure

for the hardware  and software and what do i have to do for the acurite dashboard when changing

HUB to the ACCESS?

P.S.:For the HARWARE INSIDE i have the  display model # 06016RM and the HD display model

 #06058. and  the ACCESS hub.

Outside: the 5:1 sensor whit 2 little square UV  panel captors  PLUS the

ligthning  detector.

For the software i have : my Acurite (dashboard) on my PC and my Iphone5.    samething for WU.

The thing is i dont want to mix up like with my first hub and my 1 year old new hub

Take me 1 week to transfer my data to WU. Jennifer or Rachel had to intervine to solve the problem.

THANKS

Hello Francois,
Yes, when saying 'Sensor' I am referring to the 5in1 sensor.  When replacing the smartHUB with the AcuRite Access, the historical data will not transfer.  There are two ways to add the Access. You can either use the 'Replace' button to transfer the name and the sensor over to the new product or you can add the Access as a new unit to the account. To do this you can click either the '+' button on the dashboard or Settings>Devices then click 'Add'.  Here you will enter the Device ID and add in your address information again.  Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you.

Hello Francois,

The Access will update at 5 minute intervals and the smartHUB will update at 5 minute intervals. This does not mean the update on My AcuRite will be at the exact same time.  If you are sending data to Weather Underground from both the smartHUB and the Access you will need to use two separate Weather Underground Station ID's. This will follow the same information above, it will update to Weather Underground via rapid fire however it doesn't mean it will update at the exact same interval. The products do come with the Quick Start guide which should help with the initial set up of the product. Thank you.

I do not have a new sensor to try it with at this time.  Hoping to answer this question before I invest in one.  With the abrupt discontinuation of the smarthub now may be a good time to try out a different manufacturer.  The last "upgrade" took me 6 months, 2 new smarthubs and many hours of wasted time on the phone with them to resolve.

Hello Joel,
If you are replacing an old sensor with a new, you will need to factory reset your display and new sensor together. Unfortunately, this will clear all historical data saved to the display. For your convenience, I have provided the directions below on how to connect the display to a new sensor. Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you.

  Hard reset:

- Bring both units side by side and remove all batteries, unplug display if it has an ac adapter

- Change the ABC Switch to a different setting and ensure that both are on the same setting. example - If on A, move both to C

- Place batteries into the outdoor sensor first

- Place batteries into display

- Allow units to sit side by side until they connect.

I was about to ask the same question.  I just replaced my old smartHUB with the new Access, and lost my historical data.  Same thing happened when I had to replace my smartHUB a couple years ago.  I strongly encourage Acurite to associate the data with a user account, not the sensor.  That way when we upgrade products, we don't lose our data.  This is just a dorky hobby for me, so in a year it won't matter, but it would be nice to have the old data just for fun, but it's more serious for other people.
