Can Either The Smarthuor the Access Be Connected To Switch?

I understand that both the Smarthub and Access can run at the same time. That's great! However my Router only has 4 ports and is now full.

I read some that the Smarthub has to be connected directly to the router and will not work if connected to a switch.

Is this true? If so will the Access work if connected to a switch?

Not true, it can be used on a switch or wireless AP with out issues, but.. some people have reported missing data because of it so all you can do is try it maybe you'll be fine with it.

Thank you.

I'll hook both of them up to a switch. If they both work fine, great. If not I'll plut the Access into the router Since it will be the primary device.

Edward if either of the two  has a problem with a switch it will be the older smarthub and that's the one that will be needed to be connected to your router. The Access is made to work with equipment like switches.

Hello Edward,
We do recommend connecting the smartHUB directly into your router, not using a switch. The Access however, is compatible with switches.  Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you.
